Window Energy Ratings

Launched by the British Fenestration Ratings Council (BFRC), Window Energy Ratings (WERs) is the UK’s national system for rating the energy efficiency of windows, and makes the process of identifying the most energy efficient window simple. The scheme is recognised within the Building Regulations as a method to show compliance for replacement window installation. With the new Part L regulations and the increased awareness from homeowners about the importance of energy efficiency, registering windows under the WERs scheme is an important differentiator.

In order to achieve a ‘C’ rated, or above, window units will require a warm edge spacer. Double R has worked closely with Edgetech for many years and offers Super Spacer as standard in WER units. Our units have passed EN 1279 Part 3, enabling us to use Argon gas. As a result, we can help Trade Fabricators and Installers achieve top rated units.
