There is a wide range of different glass products on the market today and, at Double R Glass & Roofing Systems Ltd, we are able to produce units using all the major types and styles.

Clear: This traditional glass type still features in a large number of units, particularly in conservatories which are not yet covered by the same regulations as house windows.

Low E: There are two types of Low E Glass: Hard Coat and Soft Coat. In recent years, the development of Soft Coat glass has resulted in a significantly higher specification, both in respect of WERs and U Values. We supply Saint Gobain Planitherm Total + as standard and this soft coat has a number of benefits including a high light transmission of 78% and a U value of 1.2 W/m2K when combined with argon gas.

Specialist Roof Glass: As conservatories become more and more popular, the desire for solar control and self cleaning glass has increased. There are now a number of products on the market and we are able to offer you a wide choice. See the Specialist Roof Glass section for more information.

We can also manufacture units incorporating Laminated glass, Pyroshield Safety and decorative obscures.

Argon: Argon is a colourless, odourless, non-flammable, non-reactive, gas used to reduce heat loss in sealed units by slowing down convection in the air space. Gas filled units will increase the windows ability to insulate by generating a warmer surface on the inside pane, eliminating condensation and increasing interior comfort.

Specialist effects

Leaded: Whether you are looking for diamond lead, square lead, Queen Anne lead or special designs, we can supply the full range. We can also offer silver, blackened, antique, gold, brass or white finishes.

Georgian: We produce a wide range of Georgian designs in a variety of finishes (including dual colours) in-house.

Bevels and Stained Film: We have teamed up with a major supplier of bevels and stained film and are able to offer a full range of designs. From standard designs - featured in our own brochure (please contact us for a free copy) - to one-off designs, Double R Glass & Roofing Systems Ltd can meet your needs.
