Double R Glass & Roofing Systems Ltd has been producing sealed units in Wellingborough since the Autumn of 2000. However, the majority of our Operatives have been in the Industry for many years and have wide ranging experience in the manufacture of glass sealed units. It is one of the reasons why we consistently supply quality sealed units.

We can manufacture units in a wide range of glass types from clear, to low E to laminate to self-cleaning - see the section on glass types. We produce units incorporating argon gas in-house and we also undertake bevels, leaded, georgian and stained film. All our units are supplied taped for ease of use.

In March 2007, it will become mandatory for all manufacturers of sealed units to comply with EN1279, the European wide standard. However, our units passed the EN1279-2 tests in the summer of 2003 and 1279-3 in 2009, so you can be confident that the unit you receive has been made to a high standard. Indeed, we offer a 5-year guarantee for our units as standard.
