Double R moves into their brand new building as the Company’s expansion plans continue.

On 9th February 2009, the Directors of Double R Glass & Roofing Systems Ltd were handed the keys to their brand new Factory on Ogee Business Park. The 19000 sq ft building was designed and constructed by Stepnell Developments and Double R is delighted with their new home.

Until now, Double R has been based in two units but the new facility now incorporates sealed unit and conservatory roof kit manufacturing as well as a Toughening Furnace.

It provides the Company with an excellent opportunity to continue their impressive growth.

The team at Double R worked closely with the Developers to ensure that the building met the needs of a modern manufacturing operation. Stepnell Developments delivered the building on time and to a very high standard.

 

Commenting on the latest stage of Double R’s development, Ian Sims said “Having agreed to take the building during the early part of 2008 it is a huge commitment for a Company of our size.

 

However, we are delighted with the quality of the building that Stepnell Developments have given us and it allows us an excellent opportunity to take advantage of the growth that will follow when the current difficult trading conditions ease.
