August 2007: To enhance the service available to their customers, Double R Glass & Roofing Systems Ltd takes the decision to provide a full welding service from within their Wellingborough operation.
May 2007: Double R Glass & Roofing Systems Ltd invests in automated welding Equipment, with the intention of manufacturing the Arial™ Roof Vent in- house. The vent has a welded plastic base with an aluminium lid and is
available in white, rosewood, golden oak, mahogany, rosewood/white, golden oak/white and mahogany/white. The vent can be supplied for a manual operation or with an electric switch or full climate controls including rain sensor.

July 2005: In a bold move, Double R Glass & Roofing Systems Ltd appoints Colin Goodman to the position of Technical Engineer, with specific responsibility to assist customers with technical problems, installations, surveys, etc.
October 2004: Following further growth in conservatory roof kits, The Roof Division moves to a 7,000 sq ft unit with a 3,500 sq ft ‘build area’.
July 2003: Double R’s glass sealed units pass EN1279-2 – the European standard which will come into effect in March 2007.

March 2003: The Roof Division change to the Wendland Styal Conservatory Roof Kit system, offering customers increased choices and improved structural capabilities.
December 2002: The Glass Division invests in new computerised cutting equipment to enable us to meet the increased need for sealed units.
December 2002: The Roof Division moves to their own 2,500 sq ft unit following significant growth in sales of Conservatory Roof Kits.
March 2002: Ian Sims joins as Managing Director and the Company move to a new 6,000 sq ft unit in Stanton Close resulting in a substantial increase in production area.
